Going short tonight because I’m a little tired as the weekend winds down and I look ahead to the new week. As evidenced by my resolution failures of last year, putting something in writing does not guarantee successful implementation. But at least every now and then, I like the idea of using Sunday night to post some goals, whether they are personal, writing, or anything in between in hopes that putting them out there makes me more likely to do them.
iPhone users probably recognize that graphic. I see it each Sunday, and immediately feel a pang of guilt. That’s too much time staring at my phone. Each week, I’m going to try and chip a little bit of time off that average. I have started doing more crossword and sudoku puzzles, which accounts for some of that number. It’s still too much. Want to see if I can make it under 5.5 hours this week. I know it’s fun being a parenting hypocrite on occasion, but I can’t yell at my kids about screen time when I’m using my phone that much.
Writing goals for this week:
Story about Rory’s birthday
Come up with at least one other recurring feature
Five new free subscribers
Personal/Life goals/tasks for this week:
Go for three runs
Finish a book (reading, not writing)
Dog registration
Organize the playroom
Find one new activity to do with both boys
That’s it for tonight, hope everyone has a good week.
Nice man. I’m obsessed with the weekly/daily screen time stats!
