The first installment of a possible recurring segment in which I can’t put enough coherent thought together to write one post, but rather just combine a few things that have been kicking around in my brain. Forewarned.
I’m not sure what the strangest random item I could find in my bed that was left by my children, but climbing into bed last night and rolling onto a candy necklace has to be pretty high up on the list.
Speaking of my bed, the pillow arrangement discussion has been raging online (or in my head) since my last post. With 18 votes, I’m not surprised that arrangement 1 is in the lead. Yet I’m mostly captivated by the 6-percent that voted for “other” and now I am searching for new alignments. I tried this one when making the bed this morning, and I think I really like it. It’s a contender.
I like how the colored pillows break up the more muted colors. Nothing is decided here, but I think this is promising. Will obviously keep everyone posted on this critical issue.
In my previous blog I detailed how little I know about economics as it relates to food prices, but I don’t understand why bananas cost so much less than other fruit. Yes there are fewer than in container of blueberries, but I the unit price is so low. I’m sure there is a reasonable explanation, it just escapes me and it surprises me every time I buy bananas. I also often leave bananas on the scale when I’m buying them and forget to put them in the bag. Lots of banana issues at the store.
While we are talking about polls, I’m including this one below for possible future post purposes.
We have had a lovely dog for nearly four months now, and it’s been mostly lots of fun. Sunny the dog is wonderful, and I generally love having her around despite the understandable disruptions that come. One thing that makes me so happy every time it happens is when she stretches and does the pose that clearly inspires the “downward dog” yoga pose. It makes me smile each time. Good yoga work from young Sunny. Good form.
Speaking of good yoga form, Declan is taking a special needs yoga class that I thought he might enjoy, and he actually does a pretty decent “downward dog” much to my surprise. Last week during the section they were doing that pose, the instructor played “Who Let The Dogs Out.” It was perfect in a weird, bizarre, Declan-specific way.
I brought Rory to his firs Celtics game yesterday, and we had an excellent time. I told him I would buy him one thing from the Team Shop, which fortunately he forgot about. It reminded me that I have a weird thing where any jersey I have purchased over the years have soon been traded or released from the team. I have a very motley collection of old sports jerseys in my basement that I have no idea what to do with. I guess if you’re in the market for jerseys of old New England athletes drop me a line.
